Scarborough Music Theatre is a non-profit community theatre group in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, near Toronto. The group evolved out of concerts done by the Church of the Master senior choir into the Scarborough Light Opera in the early 1960s. The early years consisted of concerts and Gilbert and Sullivan operas. The 1970/1971 season marked the first full season of musicals with The Fantasticks, Guys and Dolls, and Bells Are Ringing.

Together with Scarborough Players and the Scarborough Theatre Guild, Scarborough Music Theatre is a part of Theatre Scarborough, originally known as Playhouse 66.
Playhouse 66 was named after the original performing location at 66 Denton Avenue. In 1982, Playhouse 66 moved from 66 Denton Ave. to their current home at the Scarborough Village Theatre in the Scarborough Village Recreation Centre complex at 3600 Kingston Road.
Scarborough Music Theatre's 2010/2011 season consists of Annie in November 2010, The Full Monty (February 2011), and Guys and Dolls (April/May 2011). Both Annie and The Full Monty were completely sold out shortly after opening night.
Scarborough Music Theatre's recently announced 2011/12 season will be Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (November 2011 - Sold out two weeks before opening), Nunsense (February 2012), and My Fair Lady (May 2012). The 2011/12 season also marks SMT's 50th anniversary season and their 30th year at Scarborough Village Theatre.
